Compassionate. Life-saving. God-inspired.

The CLCC offers life’s necessities and support to the homeless from Birmingham’s streets.

Continuing a twenty-year outreach, each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, those who are hungry are transported by bus to CLCC where they receive wholesome meals served by church congregations and other compassionate individuals and groups who are dedicated to relieving the burdens of our homeless neighbors.

Once a month, local physicians and nurses also volunteer their time to provide health screenings to those who come for meals and who otherwise would not have access to medical care. Necessary medications such as blood pressure medicine, cholesterol medicine, and antibiotics are distributed to those in need at no charge.

This ministry of compassion creates a natural progression from not only feeding and caring for our homeless neighbors, but empowering those who are ready with the next steps to stability and independence.
